Welcome to Aquarium, an online creative writing forum for LGBTQ and allied youth. You're just in time to sign up for the project! You can register for Aquarium by emailing your name to:  Who's running this thing anyway? My name is Adrienne Gruber and I’m a Teacher Candidate at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. I am also a poet with ten years of publishing experience in the Canadian literary community and am queer-identified with interest and experience working with LGBTQ youth. I am starting a five-week internship in May with Egale Canada and my proposed project is to facilitate an online creative writing forum for LGBTQ and allied youth who are writers and/or are interested in writing (poetry and prose) and have experienced (or are experiencing) homophobia and/or ostracization in their communities. My hope is for this writing forum to be both a creative outlet and an opportunity to build a safe community space for queer and questioning youth. If you know of any youth in your community who you think may be interested in being a part of this forum, I’d love to hear from you!
